Director, Corporate Marketing

The Director, Marketing - Italy, leads the in-country marketing team and is accountable for the planning, coordination and delivery of all marketing programs, campaigns and activities into and for the country and the delivery of marketing KPIs for the country.

You will be expected to have significant experience in field marketing, be a dynamic people leader and have proven ability to thrive in a matrix, multi-stakeholder environment. You will be instrumental in evolving and influencing our go to market strategy and ensuring the successful business performance of the country.

Leading and mentoring a team of marketers, you will work closely and collaboratively with the rest of the EMEA and Global marketing teams, with sales leadership, their teams and other stakeholders to deliver your goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the marketing leader for the country, responsible and accountable for driving results through both owning, and influencing the direction of the programs that land in region

  • Be the marketing business partner to the Country Manager and their leadership team aligning the local marketing plan and programs to support the country strategy and business priorities

  • Be the advocate of the country to the wider marketing organisation and be the accountable representative of the marketing organisation to the country

  • Deliver on marketing KPIs and be able to articulate marketing’s impact on business goals - primarily Marketing Driven Pipeline (MDP) and Marketing Matured ACV (MMA) holding teams accountable for their performance and contribution to the targets

  • Lead a team of local marketers to design and deliver programs that are uniquely required for local customers, countries, sales priorities, languages, or clouds as appropriate

  • Lead, motivate and develop your team fostering a high-performance culture and delivering against employee survey targets

  • Effectively manage budget and resources to optimise impact for the business

Personal attributes:

  • Marketing leader with 10+ years marketing experience in a management / leadership role

  • Strong and effective communicator and collaborator across all levels of the organisation, building meaningful and trusted relationships

  • Advanced prioritisation skills, linking the team's daily responsibilities to organisational needs

  • Role model of our company values and adopting a "business first" approach

  • Strong situational awareness and tact, proactively addressing challenging problems, proposing solutions, and driving resolution with a high degree of initiative

  • Proven people leadership skills, developing and nurturing teams, talent and skills to innovate and continuously learn and improve

  • Highly driven with an execution focus willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic, ambitious self-directed and resourceful

  • Strong understanding of (or ability to quickly understand company, customer, messaging and product fundamentals as well as industry trends
