The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted adviser to the business to help advise and guide decision making through business partner support and insightful analyses. Role Description:
Within the F&S organization, this position will serve as a key finance business partner to our Slack product and technology teams. The position will balance maintaining financial control with strategic decision support and custom analyses to help guide the business towards its financial goals.
Your Impact:
- Finance business partner to Slack Technology & Product leadership
- Engage on a variety of ad hoc projects which could include: new product launches, pricing and packaging strategies, deal escalations, and accounting determinations
- Facilitate investment decisions by using return on investment analysis and other decision frameworks to optimize resource allocations and drive financial performance
- Perform Cost to Serve and margin analysis in partnership with our data analytics and infrastructure teams
- Identify and measure key performance indicators that drive business performance
- Manage annual planning and budgeting processes for Slack and collaborate on the Long Range Plan (“LRP”) to ensure strategic alignment across the company
- Support headcount approvals and drive a consistent process across Slack, partnering with COO and Employee Success partners
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant subject area or equivalent experience. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, consulting, or analytics
- Proven track record of achievement, process improvements, and professional growth
- Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis and financial modeling
- Proficiency with financial systems; in particular enterprise grade ERP, Planning & Analysis, and BI systems
- Great teammate with excellent communication skills, especially the ability to clearly present insights from analysis
- Intellectual curiosity, fueled by a proactive approach to learn and grow
- Results focused problem solver with strong business judgment and the ability to communicate risks and opportunities
- Analytical approach with a passion for using data to solve business problems

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week in Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA.
