Description

The Heroku Business Consultant Team has an opening for an extremely talented Business Consultant. This individual will have responsibility for assisting with incoming customer inquires, assigned accounts and renewals. The Business Consultant will have a track record in translating complex technical issues into tangible solutions. Collaboration with our customers and aligned Account teams is a primary responsibility, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Heroku. You will forge relationships with your customers, develop a deep technical understanding of their Heroku & Salesforce implementation, share technical best practices, and manage the customer’s expectations and communications.

  • Develop relationships with key business and IT stakeholders and become an expert on a customer’s implementation by knowing their top business goals and priorities

  • Help customers achieve their business goals and outcomes by providing timely, proactive recommendations that will benefit customers’ ongoing usage of Salesforce relating to the Platform product suite

  • Attain Trusted Advisor status with both key business and technical decision-makers.

  • Work seamlessly with internal cross-functional teams to drive solution success for customers, including technical product enablement (roadmaps, features, etc)

Experience/Skills Required

  • Experience deploying applications on Heroku

  • Relevant work experience in one or more of the following: Technical Sales, Technology Consulting, Customer Success, Technology Solutions Development, Technical and/or Solutions Architecture

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure

  • Aptitude for both analyzing technical concepts and translating them into business terms, and for mapping business requirements into technical features.

  • Knowledge of the software development process and of software design methodologies


Experience/Skills Desired

  • Thorough familiarity with the database, application and network technologies used in Cloud Computing (e.g knowledge of network topologies and devices, database concepts and SQL, multi-tenancy)

  • Consultative selling, deep understanding of driving discovery cycles to identify customer business and technical requirements

  • Ability to thrive in an agile/dynamic environment and role, often working independently to achieve customer success
