As a Principal UX Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, engineers, accessibility experts, and cloud teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation of complex design system features and architectural improvements
- Drive code quality standards and testing strategies across the team
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in web development
- Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture discussions
- Champion web standards and accessibility best practices
- Spearhead innovation initiatives that improve developer experience and system efficiency
- Create educational content and documentation to support adoption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product roadmap
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Deep expertise with modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web standards
- Strong understanding of component-based architecture and design systems
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools
- Experience mentoring other engineers and leading technical initiatives
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Track record of driving innovation and technical improvements
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of semantic HTML and accessible interface development
- Advanced proficiency in CSS, including modern layout techniques and architecture patterns
- Strong JavaScript skills and experience with modern frameworks
- Experience with build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma
- Understanding of performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
- Version control with Git
