At Salesforce, we are revolutionizing operational efficiency and innovation through our Agent-First strategy. The AI Agent-First Architect will be at the forefront of this initiative, driving the fundamental transformation of work by integrating AI agents into every aspect of our Global Business Services (GBS) processes. This role requires a visionary leader who will ensure our data and processes are "Agent-Ready" for optimal performance. You will be instrumental in enabling AI agents to function as true digital labor, observing data, reasoning, and taking autonomous actions to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and employee experience across our Go-to-Market (GTM) and General & Administrative (G&A) functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Agent-Ready Data Harmonization & Management:

    • Strategically bring together and harmonize unstructured and structured data within Salesforce Data Cloud for the target solutions, ensuring it is primed for effective agentic consumption.

    • Develop and implement robust data governance strategies to maintain data quality, accessibility, and security for AI agent operations.

  • Knowledge Object Utilization & SOP Integration:

    • Design and implement knowledge management systems, using Knowledge Objects to document and structure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), empowering agents to leverage step-by-step process guidelines.

    • Facilitate the rapid evolution of how to create knowledge artifacts to enable higher accuracy (via search indexes/ retrievers and structure of the SOPs)

  • Headless Agent Development & Deployment:

    • Lead the design, development, and deployment of non-UI or headless agents capable of operating independently or in synchronized workflows across various process queues.

    • Engineer agentic workflows that seamlessly integrate with existing systems, enhancing overall process efficiency and automation.

  • Augmented Decisioning & AI-Driven Insights:

    • Identify and implement strategic opportunities for AI agents to augment human decision-making, significantly reducing swivel chair work and enhancing operational efficiency.

    • Develop and deploy AI-driven solutions that provide intelligent insights and recommendations, empowering human employees to make more informed and efficient decisions.

  • Agentic Audits :

    • Develop and implement automated systems that analyze incoming requests against established SOPs, proactively flagging potential deviations or compliance issues.

    • Ensure consistent adherence to SOPs through automated systems, streamlining request processing and minimizing manual intervention.

  • Agent-First Solution Design & Implementation:

    • Architect and deploy transformative Salesforce solutions that seamlessly integrate AI agent capabilities into existing workflows, delivering exceptional productivity, customer satisfaction, and employee experience.

    • Translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions, adhering to best practices and architectural standards, with a strong focus on AI agent integration.

    • Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce-based automation, workflows, and integrations, embedding AI agents directly into critical business processes.

    • Implement Governance and Trust frameworks.

    • Establish agent development and deployment processes.

  • Agent-First Process Transformation & Optimization:

    • Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing GTM and G&A business processes, finding opportunities for optimization through the integration of AI agents.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process transformation strategies that use the Salesforce platform and AI agent capabilities.

    • Utilize process mapping and gap analysis techniques to identify automation and efficiency gains through the implementation of Agent-First principles.

    • Build a strong semantic layer for trusted data.

    • Create metrics for agent ROI.

  • Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Manage multiple Agent-First transformation projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies, with a focus on AI agent development and deployment.

    • Foster strong relationships with team members across GTM and G&A functions, promoting collaboration and alignment on Agent-First initiatives.

    • Communicate complex AI concepts to technical, and non-technical audiences.

  • Salesforce Expertise & Continuous Learning:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and its AI capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and relevant modules.

    • Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce releases and AI technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce solutions and AI agent integration, providing guidance and support to the team.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce solution design and implementation.

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and capabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience in process transformation and optimization.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with Salesforce configuration, custom development and integrations.

  • Experience working with GTM and G&A functions.


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer).

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with process mapping and business process re-engineering tools.

  • Experience working within large, complex organizations.

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.
