Toronto Sales Leaders, Powered by Agentforce

Salesforce Careers

January 23, 2025

The future of AI is agents, and at Salesforce, the future is here with the launch of Agentforce. So, it makes sense that now is the most exciting time to be part of the #1 agent-first enterprise, where humans with agents drive customer success together. We sat down with some of our sales leaders in Toronto to learn more about their experience at Salesforce and how they use cutting-edge AI to work more efficiently and close more deals! Bonus: they do an incredible job of explaining Agentforce (no surprise there.) Read on to learn more, or you can check out the recorded webinar here.

Tell us about the culture of our sales organization at Salesforce!

Ezgi: What I love the most about Salesforce is the focus on developing and growing talent. I feel challenged and rewarded each and every day, and I know that my work has an impact. I also love that I know I can grow my career here and the options are endless; there are so many paths you can take. Your leaders will always encourage you to think about what is next and how you can get there. And, the best part is that they will actually help you along in your journey, so there is a lot of support there on that side.

Allison: Even when I’m meeting someone from a different team or across the globe, I always end up connecting with my colleagues on similar career goals and common interests, so often times it feels like I’m working alongside my friends. When the cold calls get tough, I know I can count on my teammates to lift me back up and do another blitz together!

Jana: There are two things that have kept me at Salesforce for as long as I've been here, and that is the people and the development. We jokingly call it “Sales University.” You're getting your “MBA” in sales, which is having the ability to learn and develop with amazing leaders and people who'll teach you how to be the best possible salesperson. It's amazing that, as a collective, we have such valuable knowledge and are willing to share it with the group.

And then [it's] the people — some of my best friends have come from Salesforce. It’s been extremely rewarding as an organization to be a part of. I have made some of my best friends at Salesforce and have had the opportunity to grow across a variety of roles that have made me who I am today.

So...what is Agentforce?

Ezgi: I am super excited about this topic! The way that I like to think about Agentforce is that it’s a platform layer within the Salesforce ecosystem that allows literally any organization to build autonomous and customized always on AI agents that can interact with their customers in real time using their own data. Think about a traditional chatbot that you might have interacted with before. It’s super limited in its ability to interact with you; it provides limited information from knowledge articles, and ultimately, they're reactive — they can’t converse and they can’t take action.

If you’ve ever used a Large Language Model (LLM) to help you write an email, or put together a workout plan or meal plan, you know that you can go back and forth with it to refine your request and get exactly what you want. Agentforce is the same, and using the power of the customer’s data, natural language, and guardrails put in place by the customer, Agents can solve complex business cases.

How are Agentforce and other AI tools making a difference for our customers and our sales teams?

Ezgi: For our customers, [Agentforce] means faster case resolution time, the ability to service our customers at scale, [and] freeing up the workforce to focus on more strategic work. And now I’m excited about Sales Agents, because this is going to bring a whole new level of coaching and development for our Account Executives internally and for our customer’s sales teams.

As a seller, what I love about Agentforce is how straightforward the concept is, so it’s easy to talk about, easy to understand, easy to demo...and the best part about it is that there are thousands of use cases making it a no-brainer for our customers. If you need to automate a human process, any process, Agentforce can do it. The sky’s the limit.

Allison: AI has been instrumental to my performance this year. By leveraging Einstein within Slack I’m able to find the resources I’m looking for, summarized with the click of a button. I also really love utilizing our Einstein Call Insights within the CRM. When I’m in my customer discoveries and demos, ECI allows me to focus on what the customer is saying rather than typing out my notes, and will summarize the conversation for me afterwards so I can make sure nothing was missed and I’m logging all my activities within the org. It’s been a life saver, especially at the end of the fiscal year!

What is it like working at the Toronto office?

Jana: I have thought about my time at Salesforce like pre-COVID, COVID, and post-COVID. We’ve had three different “eras” of what it’s like to work in the office, be remote, and now we have more flexibility in our day-to-day. During COVID, I consistently missed being in the office, away from the daily buzz. Now, especially as a leader, I see immense growth and development when AEs are in the office. AEs are further along, closing more deals and overall much more productive in the office. Overall, the office emulates what is means to work hard, play hard!

Ezgi: It’s been great being in the office. I love the flexibility of having a day or so to work at home, but I honestly get FOMO when I’m not in the office. The level of collaboration that happens in the office, like being able to swivel your chair to talk to someone or ask a question, is so important and makes such a difference.

The small business floor is constantly buzzing, our team gets to sit right next to part of our executive leadership team, and our end-of-month is really fun getting to celebrate all the wins with bells and gongs going off!

“My favorite part about being [in the Toronto Tower] is not feeling isolated when you’re having a tough day, and being able to get together in a meeting room to swarm a deal, or talk about a creative ideas when it comes to outreach and contracting.”

How is Salesforce creating a unique competitive advantage for Account Executives?

Ezgi: I have never been more challenged or rewarded in my professional life as much as I have at Salesforce. I feel so grateful to work alongside some of the smartest people and have made so many great friends along the way. Internal resources are always at your disposal, helping you be successful, and the sky’s the limit in terms of career growth. On top of all that, now with the launch of Agentforce, we get to be a part of something huge and revolutionary.

Allison: No day is ever the same at Salesforce. My mind is constantly being stimulated between learning new product innovations, like Agentforce, or trying out new opportunities, like me moving into the Manufacturing territory over these past few months. The opportunities here really are endless and your career is what you make of it. On top of that, AI is helping us shift sales from being transaction-based to being very relationship-focused. This is an extremely exciting time for Salesforce and I’m so grateful to be a part of it!

Jana: Salesforce is the place to be if you want to learn how to sell and get your “Sales MBA.” You work with some of the smartest people, not to mention some of the development efforts that we have. And you truly have the opportunity to choose your own path.

You can be a Business Development Representative (BDR), you can go into renewals, there's AEs for sales, there's marketing… There are truly a ton of different options for people at Salesforce, which has made most of us stay for as long as we have.

And with AI, where the industry is going in general, I think it's really exciting. AI is relatively new to the world, but it's definitely not new to us, and I am excited to be here during this transformational time.
