When you begin your career at Salesforce, the possibilities for growth and evolution are endless. For Pedro Reblin, a Business Development Representative (BDR) based in São Paolo, Brazil, his journey began long before he even applied for a Futureforce role — and he has big aspirations for his career to come at Salesforce.

Early Beginnings

Pedro's first job was in customer service; a role he took on to pay for his college tuition. Reflecting on his career beginnings, Pedro shares, "[It] had a significant impact on my future career aspirations, as it taught me the importance of communication, problem-solving, and customer relationships.”

Pedro received a scholarship through the Fundo de Financiamento ao Estudante (FIES) program in Brazil, and headed to Facens University to study Industrial Engineering. The course, Pedro says, offered him a variety of skills that he’s applied throughout his career; strategic management, process optimization, problem-solving, productivity gains, and entrepreneurship.

Discovering Futureforce: A Turning Point

Pedro first learned about the Futureforce program through LinkedIn while researching opportunities in the tech industry. The program's focus on professional growth and hands-on experience immediately caught his attention. After a rigorous application process, Pedro was thrilled to be accepted as a Business Development Associate (BDA).

Coming from a background where sports, challenges, and teamwork have always been a big part of his life, sales felt like a natural fit for Pedro. "Playing football taught me the importance of resilience, strategy, and collaboration—all of which are essential in sales. What surprised me the most about moving into this role was how much it mirrors the competitive yet team-driven environment of sports."

First Impressions: Stepping into Salesforce

Pedro recalls his first day at Salesforce with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I knew I was stepping into a company known for innovation and high performance. However, the onboarding process and the welcoming environment quickly made me feel comfortable and confident about the opportunities ahead."

"The program laid the foundation for my journey at Salesforce," he says.

“Being part of Futureforce was an incredible experience. Every day was a chance to learn”

The Futureforce Experience: Learning and Growing

Being part of Futureforce was an incredible experience for Pedro. "Every day was a chance to learn, whether through training sessions, shadowing experienced sales professionals, or engaging in real-world projects," he shares. One of his favorite memories was working on a team project analyzing market trends and presenting solutions to senior leaders. "It was both challenging and rewarding."

Many of these senior leaders served as great mentors for Pedro, who guided him throughout the program. "They shared valuable insights, helped me refine my approach to sales, and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. Their mentorship was crucial in my transition from BDA to Sales Development Representative (SDR) and eventually to BDR Core EBU."

“Before joining Salesforce, I already envisioned it as my dream company—not only because it is the #1 [AI] CRM company in the world… but also because it offers a well-structured career path and the opportunity to work alongside incredible professionals in the industry.”

Life at Salesforce: A Perfect Match

Pedro loves working at Salesforce for many reasons. "The people, the culture, and the impact we create. Salesforce fosters a supportive and high-energy work environment where everyone is encouraged to innovate and bring their best ideas forward. I also appreciate the company’s focus on professional development and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that transforms businesses."

Looking Ahead: Future Aspirations

In five years, Pedro envisions himself as an enterprise sales executive at Salesforce in the manufacturing territory. "I imagine myself sharing success stories with the Salesforce team and being able to contribute to those who are starting their sales careers," he says with a smile.
