Salesforce Careers
December 09, 2024
Giving back is a cornerstone of our culture at Salesforce. Every employee is encouraged to support causes that are meaningful to them through 56 hours of volunteer time off and up to $5,000 USD in donation matching. We’re excited to share the amazing ways that our employees gave back this Giving Tuesday with their time, talent, and resources as we work together to create a brighter future for all:
Over $1M USD Raised in employee donations and matching grants.
For the second year in a row, Salesforce employees raised over $1M USD on Giving Tuesday from personal donations and Salesforce’s matching grant program. Top donations went to the GOONJ Foundation, the Akshaya Patra Foundation, and Save the Children, with many employees promoting fundraisers for STEM nonprofits. Customer Success Manager Lara Baker celebrated Giving Tuesday by utilizing Salesforce’s donation matching program.
“On Giving Tuesday many causes already have matching grants in place, so with the match from Salesforce my donations are tripled - that's a win-win-win! I'm so grateful to Salesforce for giving employees the opportunity to double their giving, regardless of whether that's $5,000 or $5.”
Bringing the power of Agents to nonprofits across the globe.
Our employees are bringing the power of Agentforce to nonprofits through our pro bono volunteering program. The Salesforce Accelerator — Agents for Impact will give skilled employee volunteers the opportunity to use their 56 hours of volunteer time off to help nonprofits build and customize AI agents, enabling them to enhance their operations and scale community impact in the AI-driven future.
Supporting vulnerable populations navigate food insecurity.
Hundreds of employees the Bay Area came together to volunteer at food banks and food pantries in celebration of Giving Tuesday. Together, they volunteered over 200 hours and provided over 50,000 meals to members of the community. Local Account Executive Harrison Robinson spent some of his day at the SF-Marin Food Bank alongside other members of his team.
“It was heartwarming to see the smiles on the faces of those we served as they chose their food items in a farmers market-style setup, allowing them to select what they truly needed and wanted.
I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community alongside my colleagues at Salesforce, reinforcing our shared commitment to support those in need and foster a spirit of generosity."
Ensuring AI is accessible for everyone, everywhere.
In London, employees kicked off a week of volunteering with Ada, the National College for Digital Skills. Salesforce employees guided Ada students in researching the UK digital divide while teaching them AI essentials, research methods, data collection techniques, and how to generate valuable insights with Tableau. Portfolio Lead Director Nick Littlecott enjoyed working with the students at Ada, and found the volunteer activity was a great opportunity to help them learn new techniques and skills.
“I enjoyed helping them understand what the world of work might be like for them beyond the world of education, making theoretical job opportunities into something tangible. This was my second project with the Ada students their enthusiasm and engagement was truly energising, and I’m looking forward learning from them with the insights they create.”
