- At Salesforce, a Technical Architect (TA) inspires our clients by conveying how Technology can be leveraged to enhance their business performance. A TA works at multiple stakeholders’ level and guides them on how to apply Salesforce technology that accelerates business outcomes for them.
- A TA is aware of current business and technology trends and is always ready to engage in conversation with the clients, to help ideate possibilities, make them tangible by applying technology and lay a pathway to progressively deliver measurable results.
- These technologies include (but are not necessarily limited to) Salesforce products and solutions, such as Salesforce platform, Data and AI services, Application development, APIs, Apex/Visualforce coding, Lightning components, mobile app development, and 3rd party solutions that may need integration.
- TAs simultaneously demonstrate big-picture thinking and in-depth problem-solving traits, with knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. They take pride in designing enterprise-scale systems that stand up to high volumes and performance requirements and are fail-safe.
- TAs demonstrate a superb growth-mindset, are always learning and challenging themselves to be the best in their domains (at though-leadership levels) and building a personal/professional brand!
- Engage with Public Sector organisations at various stakeholders’ level to understand their vision and translate that into an executable technology roadmap.
- Lead ideation discussions to help identify and prioritise objectives.
- Own the technology track to build top-notch solutions based on Salesforce technology that help the clients visualise a clear path to identified outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal (and client) technology experts to ensure that the solutions designed are production grade and demonstrate critical thinking to anticipate and address risks proactively.
- Hypothesize and co-create value statements and support them with their technical solution’s relevance.
- Demonstrate high standard of storytelling and presentation skills to simplify complex solutions and make them relatable to the stakeholders.
- Be a team-player and collaborate with other stakeholders (such as other Product teams, Professional Services, Client Success managers, Salesforce partners, etc.) who may also engage a client at different stages.
- Liaise with Salesforce product teams to understand product roadmaps, directions, and how that may affect the clients.
- Travel to client sites in the region ~30-50% at times.
- Significant experience with tech sales or pre sales with Public Sector customers in ASEAN
- Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commerce Clouds.
- Hands-on proficiency in Data management, Analytics/Visualizations, and AI domains (Generative and conventional AI/ML) is advantageous
- Strong background in design/development of large web/mobile systems/applications, or complete software product lifecycle exposure.
- Experience in integration technologies will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable high-performance solutions.
- Understanding of key systems design patterns, large data volume limitations, best practices, and application of privacy/security/trust by design concepts.
- Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achieving desired business outcomes.
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hiring.
- Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
