Mid-Market Specialist Account Executive, Slack
Overview of the Role
As a Specialist Account Executive (AE) for Slack, you will be at the forefront of driving collaboration and productivity innovation within mid-market organizations. In this role, you will partner with the cpre selling team to qualify leads, uncover customer challenges, and showcase how Slack's solutions can transform the way businesses operate. You’ll bring deep domain expertise to ensure the relevance of Slack’s product suite, guide pipeline generation, and inspire both internal teams and customers with your passion for Slack's unique value proposition.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
As a Slack specialist, act as a trusted advisor to current and prospective customers, deeply understanding their business challenges and goals.
Collaborate with customers to identify and deliver Slack solutions that align with their strategic objectives and empower their teams to work more effectively.
Evangelize Slack as a digital HQ, showcasing its ability to unify teams, streamline communication, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Drive discovery conversations with customers to uncover use cases for Slack’s unique capabilities, such as Workflow Builder, Slack Connect, and deep Salesforce integrations.
Create and execute comprehensive territory and account plans to achieve sales objectives.
Own the specialist forecast for Slack, ensuring pipeline health and progression.
Lead pipeline generation efforts, focusing on how Slack can drive innovation, productivity, and customer success.
Partner with your Specialist Solutions Engineer (SE) to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and tell Slack’s story with clarity and depth.
Advocate for Slack’s value differentiation and guide pricing and negotiation discussions to advance deals alongside Core AE partners.
Collaborate with internal teams and leverage Salesforce’s full capabilities to drive results and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven success as a quota-carrying individual contributor with experience in technology solution-based direct sales.
Expertise in high volume territory and account planning to identify and qualify prospects effectively.
Strong discovery and research skills, uncovering business challenges and goals to craft compelling use cases.
Ability to articulate Slack’s value proposition and demonstrate an understanding of its technology solutions.
Clear and impactful communication skills across various formats, including presentations, whiteboarding, and virtual meetings.
Experience working in a team-selling environment, aligning with account teams and partners to achieve shared success.
Proven ability to drive pipeline generation, forecast accurately, and own sales outcomes.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
Familiarity with sales methodologies and ability to apply them to strategic deals.
Experience developing business cases and forming strategic alliances.
Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a track record of consistently exceeding quota.
Demonstrated leadership experience through professional roles or extracurricular activities.
